The French Assosciation of Agricultural Journalists (AFJA) and ENAJ, the European Network of Agricultural Journalists are pleased to welcome European agricultural journalists to the Massif Central and the professional livestock trade fair Sommet de l’Élevage as part of an Low Budget Press Trip from October 5 to 8, 2025.
During this press trip, you will visit the Sommet de l’Élevage in Clermont-Ferrand, as well as several farms (Charolais cattle, American bison, dairy cows) and the research centers of Limagrain and Inrae. The program focuses on livestock farming and adaptation to climate change.

- Dates: October 5–8, 2025
- Participation fee: €250 per person (single room)
- Included: three hotel nights, all transfers, all meals (excluding drinks), visits, and translation services
- Not included: Travel costs to and from Clermont-Ferrand*
- Number of places: 21
- Pre-registration deadline: July 14, 2025 (Final confirmation upon approval by your national association – max. 2 participants per country). You will receive confirmation of your participation (only after receipt of payment) by August 25 at the latest.

*Arrival and Departure
Journalists are responsible for arranging their arrival in Clermont-Ferrand on Sunday, October 5 and departure on Wednesday, October 8, in the late afternoon.
Those who wish to extend their stay in the region at their own expense are welcome to do so. However, due to the high number of visitors during the trade fair, we strongly recommend making an advance booking.
