ESA, the European Seed Association is the voice of the European seed industry, representing the interests of those active in research, breeding, production and marketing of seeds of agricultural, horticultural and ornamental plant species.
Today, ESA has more than 35 national member associations, from EU Members States and beyond, representing several thousand seed businesses, as well as more than 70 direct company members, including from seed related industries.
FEFAC is the only independent spokesman of the European Compound Feed Industry at the level of the European Institutions. FEFAC holds observer status in CODEX Alimentarius.
FEFANA (EU Association of Speciality Feed Ingredients and their Mixtures) is the united voice of the speciality feed ingredients business in Europe, where the industry generates an annual turnover of €5 billion. Its membership comprises manufacturers and traders of feed additives, functional feed ingredients, premixes and other mixtures of speciality ingredients. Centred in the heart of Brussels, FEFANA facilitates the dialogue between EU institutions and feed business operators while promoting feed and food safety in a fair and competitive market.
Fertilizers Europe represents the major fertilizer manufacturers in Europe. The issues that the industry devotes its attention to may be matters that have prompted concern within the industry itself (related, for example, to its competitiveness, its profitability or even its existence); they may, on the other hand, have arisen in other sectors of society in connection with the production or use of fertilizers.
The European Livestock And Meat Trades Union (UECBV), founded in 1952, is the mouthpiece of national federations representing livestock markets, livestock traders (cattle, horses, sheep, pigs) and meat traders (beef, horsemeat, sheepmeat, pigmeat), slaughterhouses, cutting plants and meat preparation plants.
In total, some 20,000 firms of all sizes and 230,000 jobs are represented within the UECBV through its national member federations.
