FoodDrinkEurope has joined the European Network of Agricultural Journalists ENAJ as an Associate Member. The food and drink industry is Europe’s biggest manufacturing industry. FoodDrinkEurope represents the interests of food and drink companies, national food and drink federations, and specific sectoral associations based in Europe.
FoodDrinkEurope is working with its members to support a resilient and sustainable EU agri-food chain. It wants to ensure that European policymakers recognise this indispensable industry for the essential, strategic role it plays in ensuring a stable and prosperous society.
The industry has a close and special relationship with the farmers that supply it.
– Our industry buys 70% of everything that comes off Europe’s farms. As the organisation representing Europe’s food and drink industry, sponsoring ENAJ is a good opportunity for us to support the work of those who keep their ears to the ground of Europe’s agri-food ecosystem, says Public Affairs and Public Relations Manager Rafael Sampson of the food manufacturers organisation.
-We look forward to supporting ENAJ in its work to promote agri-food journalism in Europe and exchange with journalists on the key issues affecting Europe’s food systems, he continues.
ENAJ family is growing
Associate members are valuable for ENAJ not only sponsors but as partners. The collaboration allows European agricultural journalists to get first-hand information, compelling story ideas and contacts.
ENAJ has now eight Associate Members as EARA, European Association of Regenerative Farming joined ENAJ last month. Other associate members include Copa-Cogeca, CroplifeEurope, EFFAB, Eurasco, FEFANA and FEFAC. Associate Members are European Umbrella Organisations.
-ENAJ is the network of European agricultural journalists, and thus we are very happy that FoodDrinkEurope join us as an Associated Member as food and drink are the outcome of all the effort made by farmers. We are looking forward all opportunities to improve our knowledge of the manufacturing industry, says ENAJ chairwoman Yanne Boloh.
ENAJ comprises 23 national guilds representing 3300 agricultural journalists and communicators across Europe, from both EU and EFTA states.
