On behalf of VAÖ, the Austrian Ag-Journalists Guild, ENAJ members are invited to what promises to be a very interesting low-budget press trip around the informal meeting of EU agricultural ministers in Austria in late September.
Applicants are urged to make an early application for the trip, which takes place September 23-25 ; the deadline is August 30.
In addition to the now-familiar ‘meet a minister’ opportunity, Stefan Nimmervoll and his colleagues at VAÖ, in conjunction with the Press Team of the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, have organised an wide-ranging media tour that will take in a winery, a reception dinner with COPA-COGECA, plus visits to an organic dairy and ice-cream producer.
Danube Soya will also hold a seminar, “Austria as a best practice country for soya production“, looking at the future strategy for European protein production.
EU Agricultural Commissioner Phil Hogan will be in attendance, and he will also participate – alongside Elisabeth Köstinger, Austria’s Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism – in a press conference following the plenary session of the Agriculture Ministers.
Accommodation for all delegates will be arranged in single rooms, at a cost of €130 per head. This will include all transport and dinners, etc, and the only additional cost will be delegates’ travel to and from Vienna, Austria.
The quota per member state is limited; please send your applications no later than August 30 to ENAJ committee member for low-budget trips: a.krebs@bauernzeitung.ch
