European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture (EARA) Joins ENAJ as Associate Member

The European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture (EARA) has joined the European Network of Agricultural Journalists (ENAJ) as an associate member. The announcement was made on June 5th during a networking dinner held as part of the ENAJ Low-Budget Press Trip to Brussels, Exploring Europe’s Vision for Agriculture and Food.

EARA is an independent, farmer-led organisation that coordinates, advocates and mobilises collective action for regenerative agriculture across Europe. It is deeply rooted in the expertise and experience of pioneering farming stewards working under diverse agricultural conditions. Its membership includes farmers, scientists, policymakers, NGOs and individual innovators from the food and farming sectors.

The alliance is committed to transforming the agrifood system through ecologically, economically and socially responsible regeneration—beginning with the restoration of healthy living soils. Achieving this transformation, EARA emphasises, requires interdependence and collaboration among all actors in the agricultural ecosystem.

Meghan Sapp, Advocacy and External Relations Director of the European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture (EARA), speaks during the ENAJ Low-Budget Press Trip networking dinner in Brussels, where EARA was announced as ENAJ’s newest associate member.

“Systemic change in agriculture stems from continuous dialogue—not just among farmers but across the entire value chain. Agricultural journalists play a crucial role in this conversation,” said Meghan Sapp, EARA’s Advocacy and External Relations Director.

“Through our collaboration with ENAJ, we aim to share knowledge and expertise on regenerative agriculture, clarify concepts, and offer opportunities for journalists to engage with our farmer members—through interviews, farm visits and participation in our Regenerating Europe tour. Above all, we want to share stories of hope, innovation as well as the real challenges our farmers face.”

For ENAJ, associate members like EARA are vital contributors, offering fresh insights, valuable contacts and compelling story ideas for Europe’s agricultural journalists and communicators.

“Regenerative farming practices—and their impact on agricultural business and the environment—are of growing interest to us journalists and to our readers, listeners and viewers, including farmers and other professionals working within the food chain as well as consumers,” said ENAJ Chairwoman Yanne Boloh. “We are delighted to welcome EARA as our newest partner.”

ENAJ comprises 23 national guilds representing agricultural journalists and communicators across Europe, from both EU and EFTA states. Its associate members include: Copa-Cogeca, CroplifeEurope, EARA, EFFAB, Eurasco, FEFANA and FEFAC.
