Young Journalists – study trip to Brussels

Once again in 2014, the European Network of Agricultural Journalists will focus on young journalists. To this end, we have organised two events of specific interest to young journalists (under 35) for your consideration.

This is a written journalism competition open to guild members in your country. Details relating to the ENAJ young journalist prize have already been published, in last month’s article.

The ENAJ would like to invite all member guilds to nominate one young journalist (under 35) to attend a three-day visit to Brussels in September. The visit will consist of the following:

Wed 24/9 – Welcome dinner (offered by DG-AGRI).

Thu 25/9 – Study visits in the EU institutions.

Fri 26/9 – Field trip.

Sat 27/9 – Departure day.

Hotel accommodation will be paid for each participant, but each participant must pay their own flight/train costs to Brussels. Individual Guilds may be able to assist with these expenses.

If you’re a journalist under 35, and would like to apply for a place on the September study trip, please send your details to your Guild secretary.
