Low-budget agricultural press trips programme announced for 2018
Organic farming in Germany, a celebration of agricultural media in Croatia and a ‘hop-to-glass’ look at Czech beer are amongst the highlights for this year’s low-budget press trips, organised by ENAJ member associations.
In addition to the low-budget press trips, the ENAJ management committee also plans to arrange for ENAJ member journalists to attend the two informal meetings of the EU agricultural ministers’ council. These are hosted by the country holding the six-month EU Presidency: Bulgaria and Austria.
The provisional list of trips is as follows:
April 6 – 7
Germany
Press trip focusing on antibiotic use in dairy farming.
June 3 – 5
Bulgaria
In combination with the informal council of the agricultural ministers in the EU, a press trip with roses, lavender oil, grain, dairy, bio and organic farming.
June 6 – 10
Croatia
An introduction to Croatian agriculture, in the Slavonia region, with visits to both small and large farms (fish, olive, dairy, pigs and wineries), agricultural institutes, and a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the national agricultural radio program.
July 11 – 15
The Netherlands
Dutch Roots, the IFAJ World Congress, Wageningen. Tours to a variety of farms, institutes, greenhouses and companies.
August 22 – 25
Germany
Organic farming in Rostock.
September 3 – 7
Czech Republic
‘Beer from hop to glass’. Farm visits to hop and grain farms.
September 23 – 25
Austria
Farm visits in Tyrol, in combination with the informal council of the agricultural ministers in the EU.
November 26 – 28
Denmark
Herning. ENAJ AGM at the Agromek Fair with elections and farm visit – and the famous Viking Dinner!
