Agricultural journalists from across the EU are invited to the third edition of the ENAJ & EU-FarmBook press event, taking place in Brittany, France, in early July 2026.
This year’s theme — digital innovation and data technology for livestock farms — explores how emerging technologies are shaping the future of European livestock farming. The event is organised in collaboration with IDELE, the French Livestock Institute.
The programme
The event opens on Monday 6 July at 2:00 pm at Institut Agro in Rennes, with a panel discussion on digital innovation and data technology for livestock farms, followed by an innovation marketplace. On Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July, participants will visit research and commercial farms working with a range of species: veal, beef, pig, poultry and dairy.
Pre-tour: pig farming in Brittany
On Sunday 5 July evening through Monday 6 July afternoon, Cooperl — France’s largest pig cooperative — invites up to 25 journalists to a dedicated pre-tour based in Lamballe. The programme will focus on how innovation is tested and scaled up in commercial pig farms, with particular attention to environmental performance and animal welfare. Participants registered for the main press event will be given priority access.
